Grace Center for Peace and Development (GCPD)

Grace Centre For peace and Development(CCPD) is a Non Governmental, Non Profitable Organization registered under Brønnøysundregistrene(Reg No 993498149).

 

The organization since its establishment in 2009, works “To facilitate an enabling environment for building social capital for poverty reduction by mobilizing the communities towards sustainable development”.

 

This aim is achieved with the close collaboration of partner communities and development organizations through a participatory demand responsive, gender and poverty sensitive integrated development approach in Somalia.

 

GCPD’s Humanitarian and Development intervention Program are holistic, peopled-centred, Community based and sustainable. Therefore, sustainable livelihoods approaches are adopted for all GCPD strategic and short-term program focus in Somalia.

GCPD sustainable livelihoods program interventions only add to the current humanitarian and developmental commitments in Somalia, by utilizing principally home-ground solutions to vulnerable community challenges and needs.

 

GCPD corresponds to the existing international and national humanitarian and development strategies.

 

The organization puts into operation participatory approaches, strategic planning and community mobilization to find solutions to community problems.

 

It offers a range of programming and support in:
Emergency Relief Response, Food Security and Livelihoods, Health, Formal Education, WASH, Youth Capacity Development Programs, Micro-Enterprise Development, and Cross Cutting Issues: Peace Building and Reconciliation and Gender.
